Obituary of William R. Ryder, Sr.

William R. Ryder, Sr., 86, of Limerick, PA, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022. 

He was born in Malvern, PA on November 12, 1935, the son of the late Louis G. and Mary (Morrison) Ryder.

William has lived in Limerick for over 20 years, formerly of Collegeville, PA.

He was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta RC Church and a former member of St. Eleanor Church.

He graduated from Collegeville - Trappe High School.

He was Past President of Perkiomen Valley Plumber Association, a member of Royersford Lions Club and a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. 

He was a Self Employed Master Plumber with Ryder Plumbing and Heating. 

He served in the US National Guard.

He was the husband of Elizabeth Ann (Fiorentino) Ryder.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Ryder of Limerick, son William Ronald (& Mary Kay) Ryder of Douglassville, daughter Judith E. (& Ronald) Landis of Douglassville, daughter Michele A. (& Gregory) Ribick of Coatesville, and sister Jean Ackerman of Spring City. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christopher, Megan, Emily, Alane, Ronald and Danielle, and a great grandson Thomas.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Louis Ryder, Charles Ryder and Edward Ryder.

His Memorial Mass will be held Monday, May 9, 2022 at 10:00 AM from St. Teresa of Calcutta RC Church, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA.

Friends may call on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at church.

Interment will follow in Providence Mennonite Cemetery, Collegeville, PA. 

Following the interment, family and friends are invited to a luncheon beginning at 12:00 PM at Piccolo Mondo Italian Restaurant, 501 W Schuylkill Road (near the Coventry Mall), Pottstown, PA  19465.  

Memorial Contributions may be made in his memory to St. Teresa of Calcutta RC Church, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473.
